We’re April and Nick – the Designer and the DIYer.
We’re April and Nick Garcia, the husband-and-wife team behind Designer and the DIYer. We live in the Austin, Texas area, where home design, renovation, and family life tend to overlap.
April is an interior designer with a focus on the details that make a room work: layout, color, materials, lighting, and the way everything feels together. Nick brings hands-on renovation and general contracting experience, along with a background in residential real estate. Between us, we look at a home from both sides: how it should look and what it takes to build or improve it.
